Murphy's Craft adds specializations, skill trees, persistent crafting stations, XP progression, and a full UI to any RedM server.
Crafting and Progression
The plugin supports complex recipes organized into configurable categories with multi-step crafting processes. Players earn XP through crafting activity, gain levels, and accumulate specialization points that unlock new recipes over time.
- Specialization system: Players choose from distinct specializations including Doctor, Craftsman, and Cook, each with its own dedicated skill tree and progression path.
- XP and leveling: Crafting actions feed a persistent XP system that tracks levels and gates higher-tier recipes behind earned specialization points.
- Persistent crafting stations: Forges, furnaces, workshops, and other station types can be placed permanently across the map, each with unique functionality.
- Persistent crafting tables: Designated areas such as kitchens for cooking and forges for metalwork are configurable as fixed crafting zones.
- Anti-spam protection: Built-in cooldowns and validation logic prevent exploit attempts and keep gameplay balanced.
- Auto-save system: Player data saves automatically at configurable intervals to prevent loss.
Interface and Integration
The UI covers crafting menus, a crafting queue, specialization trees, and station management in a single responsive interface. Configuration is handled entirely through Lua files, covering recipes, specializations, stations, and gameplay mechanics.
- Complete UI system: All crafting and progression screens are accessible through one cohesive interface with queue and station management built in.
- Comprehensive API: A full export system lets other scripts manage crafting, XP, and specializations externally.
- Multi-language support: All text is fully translatable, with straightforward expansion for additional languages.
- Discord integration: Optional logging sends crafting activity and player progression events to a Discord channel.
- Automatic database setup: Required SQL tables are created on first run with no manual database configuration needed.
- Highly configurable: Recipes, specializations, station behavior, and gameplay mechanics are all controlled through Lua configuration files.
