Murphy's Telegram & Mail adds a full post office system to RedM with telegrams, letters, item packages, job mailboxes, and server-side security.

Telegrams, Letters and Item Delivery

Players can send two distinct mail types through any post office NPC. Telegrams are capped at 120 characters and use dynamic per-character pricing with randomly assigned handwriting fonts. Letters support up to 10,000 characters, let the sender choose from handwriting, cursive, and typewriter fonts, and can include attached inventory items up to a configurable weight limit. Configurable delivery delays apply to both types for a realistic postal feel.

Stationery, Templates and Contacts

Every piece of mail is rendered on custom templates with backgrounds, headers, stamps, and borders. Templates can be restricted by job, so sheriffs, doctors, mayors, or any configured role receive their own official stationery. Adding new designs requires only a PNG swap with no code changes. Each character maintains a persistent contacts list with favorites and one-click recipient autofill.

Post Offices, Job Mailboxes and Pricing

Configurable NPC clerks: each post office location supports custom ped models, outfits, and ambient speech, integrated with murphy_interact for 3D interaction targets.
Job-based mailboxes: shared inboxes such as "Sheriff of Rhodes" are accessible by any player holding the matching job, routing mail to a role rather than an individual. An atomic claim system prevents duplicate pickups.
Dynamic pricing: telegrams use a base price plus a per-character cost; letter packages use a base price plus a per-item cost. All prices are recalculated server-side, eliminating client-side manipulation.
External API: exports and events let any resource send mail programmatically, covering tax bills, job offers, quest rewards, banking statements, and admin announcements. Ten ready-to-use integration examples are included alongside full API documentation.

Security and Performance

Server-side validation: all pricing, field lengths, item types, and job access are checked on the server.
Parameterized SQL queries: no injection vulnerabilities.
Atomic database operations: no duplicate deliveries or race conditions.
Rate limiting: configurable cooldown between sends.
Auto-cleanup: expired documents and inbox entries are purged automatically.
Auto-migration: database tables are created on first start with no manual SQL required.

Configuration and What Is Included

Every aspect of the system is controlled from a single config.lua, covering pricing, character limits, delivery delays, package constraints, rate limiting, expiration thresholds, post office locations, NPC models and outfits, mailboxes, templates, fonts, and UI language. English and French localizations are included by default.
