Murphy's Politics is a complete political system for RedM: five town halls with elected mayors and sheriffs, citizen census, municipal taxes and treasuries, decrees, referendums, advisors, business licenses, popular removal votes, plus an optional State government above the towns. Power belongs to the players: the staff seats the first officials, then the machine runs itself. Runs on REDEM:RP 2023, VORP and RSG-Core with a single config switch.
Town halls
- Five town halls out of the box (Rhodes, Valentine, Strawberry, Blackwater, Saint Denis): treasury, census, decrees, taxes, votes and elections per town, unlimited towns in config.
- Citizen census: one town per citizen, seniority requirements to vote or run, real bans that survive re-registration attempts.
- Advisors: up to 10 per town with granular rights: taxes, decrees, census, votes.
- Decrees & referendums: the mayor legislates, citizens are consulted, every resident is notified.
Real elections
- Candidacies with platforms, one ballot per citizen, turnout & abstention stats, past-election history.
- Elections open themselves when a term expires or a seat falls vacant, extend when the first candidate registers, and appoint the winner automatically. Resignation triggers an instant re-election.
- Removal votes: destitute a mayor or sheriff by popular vote, guarded by BOTH a turnout quorum and an approval threshold, with per-office cooldowns.
Taxes & treasury
- Atomic, capped treasuries; bank / post / property / business tax services whose rates the mayor sets in game.
- murphy_bank, murphy_post and murphy_realestate pay the town automatically through one export, and any script can do the same.
- Business licenses: the mayor defines the catalog (name, price, validity), citizens buy at the town hall, the license arrives by mail, and any script can gate on it with one export.
State government (optional)
- A Governor above the towns (staff-appointed by default, nationally electable) with ministers and national decrees.
- Weekly city upkeep tax with insolvency reports, subsidies to struggling towns, and the sovereign power to revoke a mayor.
Ecosystem (optional, auto-detected)
- murphy_post: official letters to every registered resident on decrees, elections, results, removals and referendums; State letters ship on their own letterhead.
- murphy_realestate: property cadastre at the town hall: every town property and its owner, with map marking.
- murphy_bank: municipal tax on transfers and maintenance, service suspension.
Standalone Discord logs are built in: destitutions, admin overrides, census bans, election winners, tax credits, large withdraws go straight to your webhook, no logging resource needed.

oxmysql + murphy_interact (our free interaction library). Pick your framework with one config switch: REDEM:RP 2023, VORP or RSG-Core.
